June 6th Meeting - Image Critique and Image Display.
Our entire meeting will be dedicated to displaying images.
The Quarterly Critique/Display theme is Cityscape/Geometric/Architecture and our Routine Monthly theme is Monochrome. So if you have any images you would like to display in these categories please bring them; otherwise, bring other images.
Similar to our previous session like this we will have two separate sessions: 1) offer members the opportunity to have images of their selection critiqued by a panel and 2) general image display
Critique – bring up to 5 images of your selection to have critiqued by a panel.
Display – bring up to 15 images for display.
Please separate your images into separate folders on your memory stick: Critique and Display so that when we load them onto the laptop we can separate them.
Please resize your images per he below:
• 1920 pixels long edge (the short edge dimension is unimportant)
• JPG at 100% quality
• sRGB color space
• 72 ppi (this doesn't really matter, but Lightroom and some other software requires a number, so use this)

Landscape photography is one of the art forms where the canvas is already laid out in front of the photographer. It becomes the challenge to make that canvas into the artist's vision. Instructors of photographic composition say, among other things, that it's the art of what not to include in the picture that makes a compelling visual expression - Dan Mottaz
